I created this online course with a clinical psychologist because I realised that most of the women in my life were battling their bodies on some level. Not strong enough, not thin enough, just not working right, just doesn’t look right. Sometimes casually, sometimes with intention to take drastic action.
All the exercise and all the massage in the world won’t make you feel better if you’re feeling body shame.
What amazes me is the amount of energy women put into disliking their bodies, and even more trying to change their bodies. Could that energy be better spent on turning our dreams into reality, and building a better world?
I don’t want for us all to forgo vanity – not at all. It’s okay to want to be a version of yourself that you love even more. Imagine you’ve moved into your dream home. You might want to repaint the walls now and again, but it doesn’t mean it’s not your dream home as it is.
